Campus Neutral Host DAS On-Air at USDA’s National Centers for Animal Health

Ames, IA, June 20, 2020Newbridge Wireless, a leading developer and operator of distributed antenna systems (DAS) in the US, has completed the deployment of the campus DAS system at USDA’s National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH).

USDA established NCAH facilities to meet national needs for animal health research, diagnosis, and product evaluation. The facilities modernized and updated USDA’s National Animal Disease Center, National Veterinary Service Laboratories, and Center for Veterinary Biologics. The campus includes administrative offices, conference facilities, caged animal facilities, and BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories.

Under a Wireless-as-a-Service contract, Newbridge Wireless has developed and deployed the Neutral Host DAS infrastructure on the campus that provides both Public Safety radio coverage and cellular wireless services. The company will assume the ownership of the infrastructure and the responsibilities of its operations.
