Newbridge Wireless Provides Cellular Coverage Enhancement for Pennsylvania Hospital

Newbridge Wireless is proud to announce the successful deployment of a Fiber distributed antenna system (DAS) at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. PENN Hospital is the country’s oldest hospital, with some buildings as old as 260 years. Newbridge Wireless was contracted by Sprint Corporation to engineer and implement CDMA and iDEN coverage solutions for this six building campus in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, PA. The historical characteristics of the hospital and complicated urban radio environment required a meticulous approach. Our design engineers used ADC technology to implement a rigorous design aimed to meet our coverage goals while staying within budget. Our implementation team worked extensively with the hospital management to monitor the installation and ensure steady progress without interrupting the daily operations of the hospital.
