Project Manager, Mid-Atlantic

Job Descriptions: Project Manager is responsible for In-Building Project implementation.  Reporting to VP of Engineering, the Project Manager is accountable for In-Building project management, resource management and project deployment objectives.  This position is to be based in or near Maryland.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Total Project Management for In-Building project services, including but not limited to participating In-Building project site survey and bidding process, preparing and reviewing system design and proposal, managing system installation and maintenance, and project documentation;
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationship; Ensuring customer satisfaction through exceeding their expectations;
  • Managing resources necessary for successful project deliveries – system design engineers, project installation crews, and material logistics;
  • Providing leadership in project process improvement and reengineering, project team development, and Ethical business practices;

Job Requirements:  We are looking for a dynamic individual who combines technical leadership and tactical approaches, and who is a self-starter and a fast-learner.  Specific requirements are:

  • BS/BA in Telecommunications and/or Business or equivalent;
  • 5+ years technical and/or project management experience in wireless industry; Must have hands-on In-Building project/design/installation experience;
  • Working knowledge in wireless industry and mainstream technologies, with in-depth insights in wireless In-Building service business and practices;
  • Ability to manage multiple project at any given time;
  • Customer service oriented, result-driven and attentive to details;
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal – and people skills.

 

RF Engineer I,II,III,IV and Sr. RF Engineer, Maryland/Texas

Job Descriptions: All Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers are responsible for the analysis, design and/or optimization of wireless telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include link budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, site identification and evaluation, zoning analysis and support. Some positions require experience in indoor RF systems, frequency planning and/or interference analysis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities are listed below.

  • RF network design, planning and optimization;
  • Indoor RF system design and propagation modeling;
  • Link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis;
  • Area and site surveys to identify RF coverage requirements, equipment location and antenna orientation;
  • Determine capacity requirements; evaluate Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) vs. EBTS, Coax vs. Fiber Optical solutions; select appropriate equipment for the design;
  • Understand equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators;
  • Site candidate evaluation;
  • Support leasing/zoning teams as subject matter expert at zoning hearings;
  • Verify RF related site engineering drawings;
  • Site build verification and acceptance;
  • Frequency and BCC planning and/or PN planning;
  • Co-channel and adjacent channel interference testing and analysis;
  • Network performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks;
  • Work with Regulatory on Spectrum Issues, plan long term frequency planning.

Job Requirements:  All positions require the following qualifications.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge in radio frequency propagation;
  • Must have working experience on one or more RF technologies - GSM/CDMA/UMTS/iDEN;
  • Must have worked on one or more RF propagation/prediction tools;
  • Must have worked on one or more industry acceptable performance data management tools, drive test tools and other optimization tools.

Specific Job Requirements:

RF Engineer I – Entry Level: Bachelor of Science Degree from a four-year college in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required; 2+ year RF design experience is required.

RF Engineer II: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), and 1+ year in-building RF design experience are required for this position.

RF Engineer III: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and 2+ years direct experience in RF network design are required.  In-building design experience required.

RF Engineer IV: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and 3+ years direct experience in RF network design are required.  In-building design experience required.

Sr. RF Engineer: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and 5+ years direct experience in RF network design are required.  In-Building design experience is required. Sr. Engineers should be able to develop trainings, mentor junior engineers and take a lead role on small to medium projects, and able to perform most of the duties and tasks listed above.
